Scientific facilities

Cegelec CEM supports its customer the CEA (the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission – CEA DEN and CEA DAM) with its projects at scientific nuclear facilities.

For more than 35 years, Cegelec CEM has been the CEA’s partner in the construction of its scientific and research facilities:

  • New turnkey facilities
  • New equipment
  • Experimental devices
  • Specialised boilermaking

One example is the Laser Megajoule at CEA Cesta: design, construction, installation of the experimental sphere, and provision of assembly equipment and maintenance, as well as engineering and assembly of the amplifier sections, and design and construction of the metal framework to support the laser lines.
